Product description
Safe and comfortable on the move: the Qeridoo Baby Shell - the ideal solution for transporting young children in your Qeridoo bike trailer.
Intended use
The product is intended exclusively for use with Qeridoo products. Please check compatibility with your Qeridoo beforehand.
Improper use
The product is not a children's toy and must not be used as such. Do not use the product on bicycles that are not suitable for towing trailers.

When using accessories, these must be deducted from the payload. The empty weight of the Qeridoo with fitted accessories plus the load must not exceed the permissible total weight. According to the StVZO (German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations | valid in Germany), a maximum total weight of 40 kg applies to unbraked trailers.
The baby shell occupies one seat in your Qeridoo. When used in a double-seater, you can therefore transport either two baby shells or one baby shell and one seated child.
Safety and warning notices
WARNING!
- The safety and accident prevention regulations applicable in your region, as well as legal provisions such as the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO), must additionally be observed and, in case of doubt, take priority. Also inform yourself about country-specific regulations and traffic rules if you wish to take the Qeridoo on trips abroad. Make sure that the Qeridoo is only used by persons who, as defined below, are suited to operating it. Users must have read and understood this user manual in full.
- Packaging materials must be removed and disposed of in accordance with the environmental guidelines applicable in your region.
- All information on "Care & Maintenance" must be observed. Corrosion cannot be entirely ruled out. De-icing salts can lead to stress corrosion cracking.
- The baby shell is not a children's toy and must not be misused as such.
DANGER!
- Before every ride, make sure that the Qeridoo and the baby shell are in proper and technically faultless condition. Carry out a visual inspection and pay particular attention to the "Am I ready to go?" section. Also check that the side fixing is closed and the harness straps are tightened.
- Keep children away during assembly. When handling moving components, take care not to pinch your hands and fingers. Before first use, check that all connections are firmly seated.
- The Qeridoo and the baby shell must not be used any further after an accident! Even if no damage is visible externally, the protective effect may be impaired.
- Before every use, make sure that the Qeridoo's unfolding mechanism is properly engaged.
- Always make sure that your Qeridoo's parking brake is engaged in order to prevent it from rolling away while installing the child or fastening the harness.
Care and storage instructions
Care
After every use:
- Cleaning the baby shell.
- Watch out for heavy soiling and remove it as soon as possible.
After heavy soiling:
- Carry out a thorough interior and exterior cleaning of the baby shell.
- The baby shell has a removable cover. The cover can be cleaned on a gentle wash cycle or hand-wash cycle at a maximum of 30° C. Release the clips from the edge of the baby shell. The cover can then be removed easily.
- The headrest may only be washed by hand, as the fine hooks of the hook-and-loop fastener can be damaged in the washing machine.
- Wipe the shell and the entire cover dry.
When not in use:
- Only store the baby shell in places with a storage temperature in the range of -23 °C to a maximum of 65 °C.
- The baby shell should only be stored in a dry condition.
- The storage location should be dry, well ventilated and protected from direct sunlight.
- The Kidgoo and Sportrex models can be folded up with the baby shell installed.
Maintenance
Monthly (or every 200 km):
- Check the textile covering, harness straps, connecting elements as well as the seats and safety harnesses for tears, wear and missing parts.
- Check the entire baby shell as well as all connectors and fastening components for signs of wear and damage.
Every six months (or every 500 km):
- Carry out a thorough cleaning of the baby shell.
